Perfect Match

Perfect Match allows you to synchronize your actions perfectly with a spectator. And unlike lots of other mentalism effects, there’s no boring procedures, counting, math, forcing, or any difficult moves involved.

Effect: The magician displays two clear tubes mounted on thin bases, each along with a black plastic sleeve that fits over it. A folded bag is removed and displayed as completely opaque on all sides. A spectator picks either of the two tubes for themselves, and covers it with the black sleeve, and they cover the magician’s tube as well.

The magician removes eight colored balls: two yellow, two green, two blue, and two pink. These balls are all dropped into the paper bag and mixed up. The bag is held high in the air so that no one can see which ball ends up where in the bag.

The spectator and magician each take turns pulling out a ball at random from the bag and dropping it in their respective tubes. The balls are removed in a complete fist so that no one can see which ball comes out in which order, and since the tubes are covered with the opaque sleeves, neither the magician nor the spectator knows the order of the balls in either tube. This process is repeated until there are no balls left in the bag.

The only thing the audience knows at this point is that you each have four balls in your tubes. When the sleeves are lifted, it’s revealed that the magician and the spectator miraculously have picked their balls in the exact same order, as the colors in the tubes are a perfect match!

Overall height of tubes with base is about 18 cm, the balls have a diameter of about 38 mm, which is just right for them to be completely hidden in the hand. You receive all the props you need so you can perform this effect minutes after receiving it!
