Alexander Boyce

Alexander Boyce first attended Tannen’s Magic Camp in 2008 and (in)famously failed at escaping from a straitjacket while on a unicycle in the stage competition. Since then his appearances have included The McKittrick Hotel’s long running production of Speakeasy Magick, The Magic Castle in Hollywood, and Harvard A.R.T.’s The Conjuror’s Club. His magical work was recently put to use as the Magic Consultant at Lincoln Center, NBC’s New Amsterdam, and the Netflix feature, The Week Of. The New York Times named Bizarre Brooklyn, a production he co-created and starred in with fellow Tannen’s Camp alumni and instructor, Adam Rubin, in their annual wrap up of the best theater of the year. He lives in Brooklyn, where he sits in the sun and reads about the history of magic. BoyceMagic.com
